Loreal Lip Paint - Very disappointed!

Oh boy, I really wanted to love these! The colours are very bold, I love both of the reds, even the nude shade 'Hollywood Beige' just looked like it had a bit more life in it that a typical nude lipstick and almost looked like there was a hint of a corally tone to it, which was really pretty. I thought these were going to be more like a lip stain because they are described as matte colours, but they turned out to be more like a lip gloss which wasn't great. They took absolutely ages to dry, I had to actually blot them out a bit as I couldn't wait any longer for them to dry. They didn't last very well either, definitely not for 8 hours as advertised! When you market a lip product as being matte lip paint you don't expect for it to stay glossy all day and transfer as badly as this product did. The applicator brushes are way too fuzzy as well, so you cant really apply it neatly and it made the application streaky, definitely use your own lip brush if you want to try these. One thing I will say is that they smell gorgeous, they remind me of lip glosses I used to use when I was younger, so they score some points for the smell. The colours are lovely and look amazing on, which makes it even more of a shame that the quality of the product was so off! Unless you're only going to stand around posing all day and not eat or drink or anything then they might last a bit, but definitely not for more than a few hours. These are £6.99 which I guess isn't so bad for a lipstick or gloss but only if the product does what it says it's going to do, which this does not. I'm hoping Loreal work on their formula as the colours are so lovely, but the quality isn't that great.
