My New Obsession ... Powerlips Fluid.

So, I recently started working from home for a great beauty brand. I've been using some of their products over the last month or so in order to familiarise myself with the brand and to better equip myself to be able to make recommendations to my clients. One of my favourite products is the Powerlips Fluid matte liquid lipstick. I thought I'd give them a little mention on my blog because I really have fallen in love with them!

One of the main reasons I love these are because they contain alot of really nourishing ingredients including Vitamin E, Beeswax, Avocado Oil, Kaolin and Silicones, which help nourish the lips, maintain moisture and soften the skin. You can really feel the difference these ingredients make when you wear these lipsticks compared to other long wear matte lip products. I usually forget to apply a lip balm before I put my lips stick on, but even without doing any lip softening scrubs or applying lip balm these sit on the lips so nicely and actually feel nourishing. Also, you can't really feel the product, like other ones I've used, sometimes you just feel really aware of your lips and really aware that they are drying out more and more as the day wears on, but with these they wear really well and feel amazing. I suffer with quite dry lips and brands I've used in the past have actually made it look worse, and I end up walking around feeling really self conscious that people are noticing my lips. Nothing highlights dry lips more than when your lipstick breaks apart and sits in the cracks or your lips.

I don't really wear gloss, just because I don't find it comfortable to wear, I hate the sticky feeling and hate my hair getting stuck to my lips if the wind blows etc, so even though gloss might be more flattering on someone with dry lips it's not always the best choice for everyone, so it's great to know there is a product out there like this. They feel really comfortable to wear, the consistency isn't too thick but it feel like it just really nicely coats your lips and gives you a really nice, nourishing layer. They last well through the day, the longest I've worn mine is about 7 hours I think, and I was very happy with how it lasted, especially because my lips didn't dry out at all through that time. The product doesn't have a strong smell, its not sticky, its a one step process, so you don't have to seal it with a lip balm after you apply the lip colour like you have to with some other brands, its just really nice to use. The range of colours is gorgeous as well, and I will definitely be getting them all! I really love using these and I highly recommend them to everyone.
