Sleek i-Divine Mineral Based Eyeshadow Palette - 430 A New Day

I decided to try this eye shadow palette as it was the first time I'd liked all of the shades in one of their palettes. I've tried Sleek products before, I've used some of their blushes which are amazing and super pigmented. Their powder contour kit in Light is also one of my favourite products, I even used it on my wedding day. This palette contains 12 shimmery and matte eyeshadows, I was expecting them to be really pigmented like their powder blushes are (I presumed the powder eye shadows would be the same quality) but I was quite disappointed! The shimmery shades look great in the palette but weren't very strong at all, I tried applying them both with a brush and my finger and didn't find that I was picking up much product either way. You really need to keep layering and building it up, which is fine if you have the time but if you want a strong colour that you can work with quickly and have a great colour payoff I don't think this is the palette for you. The matte shadows are the same in that you do need to build them up quite a bit to get a good colour but I do really like them and will probably use this palette just for the matte shades, my favourite shade in the palette is the taupey shade 'carpe diem'. Overall it's an OK palette, once you manage to work with it, it does last all day which is great but the fact that the pigment is not very strong is just really frustrating, but I guess I can't complain too much for £8.99.
