So, I thought I'd do 'Mummy Mondays' on my blog, I'll be alternating between 'Mummy Mondays' and 'Motivational Mondays' every other week (will try to at least) I just wanted to add something different to my blog to keep things interesting. I thought I'd start my first Mummy Monday by sharing some of the best places to buy clothes for babies/toddlers.
My personal favourite place to get baby clothes is Next. I can never go past that place without at least having a little browse in the baby section, they have such a lovely range. Whether you’re looking for something cute or a kids versions of a grown up style they are great. They are slightly more expensive, but you will definitely get a lot of wear out of their clothes because their sizes are pretty generous and they are very good quality. My other favourites are Mothercare and George at Asda. Mothercare currently have a lovely range of 3 piece sets for £15.00 which I love. Asda's kids clothes are surprisingly good quality as well as I discovered when I was pregnant with my son, their sizing is good and you get a lot of wear out of their clothes. I've bought so much from there for my kids!
M&S also have a nice range with a lot of cute patterns, floral prints and woodland animals. Some of their prints might seem a bit dowdy or like something an older relative might buy for you, but I really like their range! Their stuff is a bit more expensive, maybe a few pounds more than an outfit from Next, so I don’t buy a lot of outfits from M&S but their range is definitely worth checking out.
For cheaper baby clothes obviously Primark is great, they have a really big range and are very affordable although their sizes do come up quite small. Both my son and daughter always have to wear the next size up when I buy them clothes from Primark, but when you think of how much kids mess up their clothes, spending loads on outfits isn’t really that practical so as long as you bear in mind you need to shop a size bigger (usually) there is no reason not to shop at Primark as their range is pretty decent. Peacocks also have a nice range, I’d say their clothing quality is about the same as Primark and their sizing is about the same too. So you will probably have to buy a bigger size, unless your baby is quite petite of course.
There is also Matalan, they seem to have really improved their baby range, they have a gorgeous selection of clothes, especially for newborns and it's all affordable. They have a bit of Disney themed stuff and novelty Batgirl and WonderWoman baby grows, not everyone’s cup of tea but I love all that. H&M are also good for kids clothes, their style is quite cool, again the sizing is a little snug. Not as tight as Primark or Peacocks but still tight. Sainsbury’s also have a lovely range, their clothes are pretty true to size as well which is good, they are around the same price range as Matalan I’d say. Morissons also now do a range of kids clothes, called Nutmeg. Again, good sizing and nice quality, their range is not as big as Sainsbury's Tu or Asda’s George, not yet anyway, but they have a lot of nice pieces.
Here are some of the pieces that caught my eye at Next and Mothercare. And links below.
